Everglades Airboat Tours Glide and Guide Through the National Park

If you have yet to venture out to the grassy wetlands of South Florida, now is the perfect time! Airboat tours at Everglades Holiday Park are the perfect day trip for friends and family. As you glide along the grassy shallows in an Everglades airboat, you will come up close and personal with animals in their natural habitat. Your knowledgeable guide provides a narrated tour and will entertain, and educate you every step of the way about the vast and wildly unique environment. All you have to do is sit back, relax, and enjoy the sights and sounds of the nature surrounding you.

On an Everglades airboat tour, you can expect to see heaps of vegetation and wildlife that you won’t find anywhere else. At Everglades Holiday Park, our guided airboat tours safely expose you to some of the world’s most amazing creatures – including endangered species. You will find a variety of different snakes, birds, fish, and of course, the American Alligator, which tends to surface more often during the rainy season from June to October. If you are an avid bird watcher, you will not be disappointed! There are several different types of birds that call the Everglades home year-round.

The Everglades experiences two distinct seasons in which it undergoes various changes; the wet season and the dry season. The dry season is from November until May, when water levels drop and fish become trapped in shallow water, creating a paradise for hungry birds and alligators. The rainy season is from June to October, which is also great for birds, especially the newly hatched who are learning how to fly and swoop down to catch fish.

The everchanging ecosystems are part of what makes touring the terrain so thrilling, every time you ride. Our experienced captains are very familiar with all of the prime areas of the Everglades that have the most amazing animals hidden deep into the sawgrass or laying on the banks sunbathing.

Our airboats can reach top speeds of up to 60 miles per hour, but for safety and a comfortable ride, we keep them running at speeds of 40 mph or below. We are also the only park with covered airboats, so you can enjoy a tour of the Everglades even on a rainy day.

Spend the day out in the beautiful waterways of the South Florida Everglades, where you can experience an exhilarating ride with the wind whipping through your hair. Make countless memories with your friends and family by taking part in a guided Everglades airboat tour and learning about Florida’s largest wetlands and treasured home of the American Alligator.
