Kids expect a few field trips every summer while at camp, so why not make your upcoming summer camp field trip one to remember at Everglades Holiday Park? Located in Fort Lauderdale and dubbed the "Gateway to the Everglades" Everglades Holiday Park offers a once in a lifetime experience with the longest airboat tour in the Everglades, live narrated alligator shows presented by the Gator Boys from Animal Planet's hit TV series and so much more. It's no surprise that Everglades Holiday Park was named the top theme park in Florida by abc's WPLG News and a top three Florida attraction by USA Today Travel.
Why An Everglades Summer Camp Field Trip?
Everglades Holiday Park provides children and adults with the perfect combination of education and entertainment. As home of the Gator Boys Alligator Rescue, it's no surprise that the park and its staff are committed to spreading the word about Everglades conservation and the fair treatment of all living things. Educating children on the importance of America's wetlands in all of our lives really hits home on an Everglades summer camp field trip to Everglades Holiday Park. When kids have the opportunity to meet many of the 2,000 plus species of plants and over 200 different birds that share this majestic habitat with the American alligator, they gain a further understanding of how important these wetlands are to the earth as a whole.

Everglades Holiday Park Summer Camp Field Trip Program Overview
A day at Everglades Holiday Park provides ample opportunity for children to learn about the importance of America's largest subtropical wetlands, all the while enjoying the company of their friends and nature. Not only will the kids be treated to an airboat tour and gator show, but the park also features animal encounters where they can hold Everglades creatures including a baby American alligator and ball python. Our Gator Tooth Photo Booth and gift shop are the perfect way to cap an Everglades adventure, commemorating the visit with a group photo or gator tooth necklace.
A typical Everglades summer camp field trip day adventure includes:
Hop aboard one of our custom built airboats for an hour-long airboat tour of the Everglades. Glide across the famous "River of Grass" at speeds up to 60 mph, in a safe and child-friendly environment. Our airboats are navigated by expert Gladesmen captains, ready to bring you up close with alligators, birds, plants and all of the beautiful Everglades inhabitants. Your captain will impart tons of Everglades knowledge to all those on board, and might even let a bird land on his shoulder for a quick snack!
Educational and Exciting Alligator Presentation
Watch in awe as the Gator Boys demonstrate how they capture alligators to bring back to our sanctuary at Everglades Holiday Park. Paul, Chris, Ashley and the rest of the gang will teach the kids everything there is to know about the American alligator and throw in some clever jokes from behind the walls of our world famous Gator Pit. The excitement continues when the Gator Boys Alligator Rescue crew performs daring stunts such as "faceoff" and "bulldog!"
Outdoor Recreational Activities
Everglades Holiday Park is situated on 29 acres of wetlands! That means you can bet on outdoors exploration and sightseeing being part of your trip. With the majestic beauty of the Everglades and all those species of flora and fauna strewn across the grounds, kids will have a ball investigating the landscape. Upon completion of the tour, kids and their counselors can enjoy fishing, outdoor games and additional lessons before hopping back on the bus home.
