With 1.5 million acres spanning from Lake Kissimmee down to Florida Bay, the Everglades is comprised of thousands of lakes, marshes, aquifers, flowing bodies of water, and home to hundreds of thousands of animals. Among other things, the Florida Everglades is famous for its world-class fishing opportunities. When you spend a day at Everglades Holiday Park, you’re never far from fish like Largemouth Bass, Peacock Bass, Gar, Snakeheads, and Catfish.

While the Everglades does offer endless opportunities for fishing, both Florida residents and visitors need a Florida fishing license if they plan to cast a line, catch and release, or catch and keep their fish. For those who don’t have a fishing license, but are eager to spend a day fishing in the Everglades, not to worry! Everglades Holiday Park offers same-day Florida fishing licenses on our grounds! That’s right, when you arrive at our park, you can apply for your Florida fishing license and receive it in no time.

While you work with one of our team members to receive your same-day Florida fishing license, you can rent one of our 14-foot Jon boats, and check out our wide selection of rods, bait, and tackle available in our general store. Our team members will walk you through every step of the process, so you’re prepared for your day on the water or a Everglades tour . Everglades Holiday Park has everything you need for a day of fishing. Our park is open 7 days a week starting at 9 AM. Call us today for more information!
