Hurricane Dorian Bahamas Relief Efforts Underway!

Hurricane Dorian Bahamas Relief Days after Hurricane Dorian struck the Bahamas with devastating winds and heavy rain on Sunday, September 1, Everglades Holiday Park, amongst several others, are responding to storm-impacted communities with much needed relief.

The hurricane was virtually stalled over the Bahamas for an extended period of time, causing flooding and terrible damage. Entire communities have been wiped out, and there are tens of thousands of people who need support during this difficult time.

As of Wednesday, September 4, the death toll in the Bahamas was 20, according to Duane Sands, Minister of Health. Unfortunately, this number is likely to rise, as emergency responders are working their way through the debris and rubble in the flooded neighborhoods in the islands of Great Abaco and Grand Bahama.

This is an absolute catastrophe, as even basic necessities like fresh water, food, and medical care, are nearly nonexistent. Here at Everglades Holiday Park, we’re making a vigilant effort to send help to the islands of the Bahamas with hurricane Dorian relief supplies and donations.
